Tons of videos on the internet of ‘booby trap’ parcels on porches, waiting for thieves. I know in many jurisdictions, any type of ‘booby trap’ is illegal, but those videos are hilarious to watch. Has anybody done this, or do you know if it has occurred in your area? What has your local law enforcement said about the practice?

I've seen a few, see the thing is is once you watch one, they got you in the algorithm and they keep popping up. Lots of fake AI stuff out there, you can see the box blow up twice, or faults in where the paint or dye goes. Who wants to spend an hour or more pressure washing the crap you just sprayed onto your own house? Look and see the fake... 
Now that that's been said, enjoy a real one...
Personally, I think it's fantastically hillarious, but it's just a fantasy. In the real world there are shyster lawyers for them, and insurance companies that will drop you... |

Dave is correct. Most of what we see on the internet is fake, aka AI. A booby trapped package is a lawsuit waiting to happen plus potential criminal charges. Around here the delivery drivers foul up enough so that we don’t need porch pirates. One driver in neighboring county quit in the middle of his day and dumped 70 packages on the sidewalk. Company refused to come get them when notified. Local police were kind enough to get them to the intended recipients.

Wishful thinking but may act as a deterrent if enough people watch these? Like a beware of dog sign. They're kinda fun to watch and most definitely something I wish was real

I got a kick out the guy making glitter bomb , fart bomb boxes with cameras and GPS so he can retrieve after the porch pirates throw it away. Pretty neat all the technology he uses to ruin a thieves day. CARMA !!!! I Love it
