Good evening!!
Is there a source for the original 12volt generator parts? I notice the brushes are very well worn and it’s not charging very good. I’d prefer to leave it original with the power steering pump on the back of it if it’s possible. Thanks |

Most likely it is a Delco Generator and same as from a '50's to early '60's Chevy generator. Take yours apart to confirm, click on below, scroll down, and take your pick:

A local starter/alternator repair shop can make it as good as new.

When I’m done using the tractor I will slip it apart and confirm what it needs, only want to pull it apart once.
What involved in resealing the power steering pump on the back of the generator? It seeps enough to make a mess of the generator parts. Got an itch to get the leaks sealed and the charging/wiring working properly. Thanks |

PS pump probably needs a seal replacement. Get the numbers off the seal and measure the seal when you take it apart and get a new one from Ebay or any seal supplier on line, unless you want to pay nutso pricing from Agco.
