brakes on ‘91 Ford F-350, the RABS module to be more specific. What is the proper way to ‘test’ that module?
The rear sensor on the differential shows 1600(ish) ohms, from I been told, that is acceptable? So far, have not found the cause of the ‘Rear Antilock’ light constantly being on. If it went for the cruise control unable to activate, due to this particular warning light, I wouldn’t worry, but no cruise cuts into the mpg. |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Check Third cab roof Brake light. The cruise current runs thru that circuit--it's goofy, replaced two light bulbs there and CC resumed working. LED bulbs in that location will not work.

Are you saying you have 'no cruise control' ? If so ,was your truck recalled due to the 'master cylinder fire' problem and was 'fixed' by Ford ? If so, then the fuse in the 'repair' has blown as the switch in the master cylinder has shorted to ground . there is an EASY true fix to that problem that gives you back cruise control.

Didn’t know that. I will have to check it out. This truck has a topper on it, with no 3 rd light. |

Thanks Jay, don’t know if this vehicle went thru any recall repairs. It appears the Master Cylinder is not original, wheather it was replaced by Ford or not, I don’t know. The fuse in the fuse panel(position #17) is good. Is there another fuse in this particular system? Edited by Lars(wi) - 6 hours 16 minutes ago at 9:00am |

After further research, ‘91 F-350 was not equipped with the ‘3rd light’. That is the ‘cargo light’ that illuminates the bed. |

Yep! my bad. was thinking 3 Brake light was 91. It came in 94. They have given me grief till I figured them out. Actually, a buddy told me about it, and I thought he was nuts!

My '97 was one of the ones with the 'flaming master cylinder' along with a long list of cars and other pickups. For that recall , Ford installed a small wiring 'harness' with an inline fuse. When that pops, no more cruise control ! Saves burning the truck toy the ground( neighbours did is 10 minutes ! . Ned to see the wiring diagram, but for mine there's a 24/7 connection to the battery feeding the master cylinder switch that then powers the cruise control 'computer'. Dang silly 'engineering' and NOT needed....
