I been on here a long time, and have shared many stories, photos and memories with everyone over the 25 plus years on here.
Recently I have been scanning Grandpas old farm pictures, and enjoying every minute of it. I also have been recording his stories and hope to have a few videos to share in a few months. It's been a busy season lately. In the meantime, enjoy these photos. If you like them, I might add more. Thanks for allowing me to share these memories with you from grandpas Farm Life, I hope it brings a smile to your face! |

Thanks for sharing. Love looking at the old pics. Ground drive corn shocker, and I assume grandma and young un to scatter the corn to fill the wagon. It was better than horses!

Don... most cameras take photos about 4000 x 3000 pixels... This site will not AUTO SIZE for you... Shrink them to 25% ... prior to upload or after if the site will accept it... good size is 800 x 600 or so..........smaller size also allows you to STORE more photos.... NICE PICTURE !!

I agree with Sugarmaker, NOBODY took enough pics eons ago, just because it cost so much to develop the film. Those are great pics Don! Nostalgia and memories, good memories. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting the pictures. If there was a photo taken when I was growing up I would have to go put on my Sunday clothes. The flash bulbs were expensive, or so I was told.

I scanned and cleaned up a bunch of old family tractor photos from the same time period, and loaded them onto a digital picture frame for my dad’s birthday. He keeps it in the shop and loves seeing the old machines on rotation. It might be a fun way to share some of these over coffee with others who remember those days.

Thanks for posting your pictures. As nice as restored machines are at present day tractor rallies, nothing beats seeing "period piece" photos of machinery working.
It's a shame that old photographic prints fade, but if you're lucky, your ancestors might have kept the negatives, and you could get fresh prints made or scan the negatives? Sadly lots of people kept the prints but flung away the negatives, certainly the case with too many of my family photos.
