My buddy Mike C. bought a three bottom, snap-coupler, roll-over plow recently. We've been working on this thing trying to get it ready for Hutch. Don't think we're going to make it!
Here's the problem; His D-19's will pick it up but not hold it there. Take your hand off the lever and it returns to ground. The gas and propane both do it, haven't tried the diesel. Is there an adjustment for this? Makes it kind of hard to roll the thing over. I told him he just needs to buy a 190 with Snap-Coupler hitch! He doesn't think that's going to happen. Went to his place yesterday and drove the D-21 in the Plesantville Ia. parade. He got out, I believe, 25 tractors and had them on display in front of his house. Shot some video, will post a link after I get it done.

I have limited experience with the mighty D-19, but they are somewhat known for that problem. There is a check ball valve cartridge located vertically between the top half of the 100 lb upper valve stack and the bottom base of the valve stack. The check ball and spring and its seat could be the problem. There is an Oring around the outside of the cartridge that can fail and cause leakage. There is a copper washer (similar to an injector tip copper washer) that can fail. The cartridge itself threads into the upper half of the valve stack, so it could be loose. Few if any parts are available. When you get all done making an attempt to fix the settling problem and it's still almost as bad as it was before..........I've been there and dun that exact same thing.

Thanks Doc! Prognosis is rather grim. Be interesting to see how he wants to proceed.

First thing to do is go through that check valve assy between the valve and base! There is a spring between 2 check balls that gets weak and doesn't hold the balls on the seats. Remove that spring and stretch it back out or replace it. Also replace the O-rings when you remove the valve from the base. I worked on 2 D19's that had intermittent hyd and lever issues were fixed by fixing that check valve assy.
