I need a new tach for my D15 II diesel.  The AGCO website shows 2 different part numbers.  D17 diesel part number do not match either of those.  Is there much difference between the D17 and D15 tachs?  Can a D17 tach be used instead?

I cannot find any new repro D15 diesel tachs.  Does anyone have a good original tach or know where I could find one?

Many thanks!

I would imagine a D-17 tach would be fine. The ground speed MPH will be different as will the PTO RPM. Top speed is 2200?? on a D-15 and only 2,000 on a D-17.  Actually a D-19 tach would be better for engine speed.

Do you still have an original tach? It could be rebuilt. Star speedometer used ot do mine, but he may have retired.

If Hiam is still rebuilding at Star Speedometer, I would have him repair it. He can even keep your original hours on it.

Give him a call 386-569-5284
