I have one of these that runs very well and isn't an oil burner but the truck has rusted to pieces around it. The hood is usable with some repairs too. Truck is a 1979 S-1924 I believe. I really have no use for the engine myself so going to offer it up here first. I was told it was rebuilt in the mid 1980's but have no supporting paperwork, or anything offering proof. It is still in the chassis and can be run for demonstration should anyone have interest. It will directly replace an IH 404 engine. Truck has a 5 speed transmission installed with PTO and it seems to shift well.
Hydrovac problems put the truck down and after setting several years in a barnyard, it has rusted to pieces. No floorboards left to the cab as example. Gas tank(s) are both rusted through so gas leaks away but it will hold a couple gallons to drive around my property. I'm going to cut the truck apart under the cab, mount risers and a 5th wheel plate making a small dump trailer from the Scott steel grain bed installed onto the existing chassis. Has a good heavy hoist and works well. This project is moving to the front so about a week is all I'll allow the truck to remain together. Gas Ax is ready and waiting to make it usable for me. I have another engine in the shop needing to find a good home. This one is a 2000 model year 7.3ltr diesel in an F-250 4X4 Ford truck that has rotted around the driveline. Frame and body are long gone but the engine and trans run/function perfect. it is an automatic transmission. This was driven routinely till the oil pan started leaking from rusting out and the truck was removed from service. It has always been a snow plow truck.
I have a brand new "Dorman" oil pan to install and steel core silicone pan gasket set that will be installed before it leaves. Trouble is with this truck design is to change the oil pan the engine either needs removed from the chassis, or the front frame support needs cut out and rewelded into place afterward. The truck simply is not worth the labor to perform either. It will start and run/drive with oil dumped in, but will leak out completely in just a couple of days. I want to demonstrate the engine prior to sale, but it will go with the new parts either installed if someone purchases the engine, or supplied with the truck if purchased whole. It does run well and carries good oil pressure. Always has had good maintenance but being a plow truck, salt, etc. has really eaten it up. I'm not a salesman and certainly not in the business of screwing anybody over. I have driven this truck and openly state it is a good parts donor that runs well and looks like an unpolished t**d. I have no use for the engine as have several other medium and heavy trucks around here so starting to clean up a bit. Reach out if interested.

Would be a MV 446 not 464. MV 404/446/378 series blocks.

You are correct Dave; Going from fading memory of six months past when I rubbed the block for the stamping number. It is a 446 engine; original was a 404 to the chassis which the decals on the rocker cover denote. Thanks for clarification. Going to chop the truck this next week and start the conversion mentioned.
