I’m looking for an exhaust manifold for my 6080. I’m told by the local dealer that there are 2 options. One is flat where the turbo mounts and the other is slanted. The slanted is no longer available and of course that is what I have . Does anyone have one or know what it would take to convert to the flat one? Thanks in advance .

You have checked with an AGCO dealer?? 74009771 is the P/N. A model F-2 Gleaner combine engine from about model year 1980 or 81 and newer will be the same. You don't want to even try to convert backwards to the old flat manifold. You'd have to buy many other parts to complete the conversion and the right side hood will not fit without butchering it all up.

Dr. Allis,
Yes they are an AGCO dealer . He said there is 2 of the slanted ones in dealer inventory and is supposed to be contacting them . And thanks for the confirmation on the flat manifold. It looked to me that a lot of parts would be needed and clearance would be an issue. Edited by H Clark - 20 May 2025 at 9:06pm |

The reason it is raised and tilted inward is to make it fit under the hood.

Most of the orange engines had the flat manifold - combines could be identified with the slot in the hood for the turbo on the F2 K2 diesels - all 6080's were tilted in like the balck engines on the F2 K2 from around '80 up.

Update—
The manifold part number 74009771 is no longer available . Thanks to Brenda at Sandy lake implement for doing the leg work and getting me the dealer information for the 2 remaining manifolds in dealer inventory. 1 is at Mckim tractor in Iowa and they can not locate it. Kevin in parts was very friendly and helpful. But he can not find the manifold. He said he remembers pulling it for a project tractor that ended up not needing it but nobody knows where it went. The other WAS at Rolling Plains Implement in Texas but as of today it’s laying on my kitchen table. I believe the parts lady there was Rachael . Anyhow looks like I got lucky for once and got the last manifold in captivity. Not saying there isn’t more out there but from what I’m told there is none showing in the dealer network. Thanks again for everyone’s help. Especially the friendly parts people who help us keep our old iron running . And if anyone needs any parts I highly recommend Brenda at Sandy lake. My local dealer washed their hands of it as soon as I hung up the phone. |
