Water plumbed to the laundry room. Opted for 3/4 pex, with the pinch clamp style.
100 foot roll was $48.50, the crimper $57.00, don’t remember the cost of the bag of clamps or the 2 pex elbows. The roll is a bit of a challenge to work with when working alone, under a pier & beam house. Just couldn’t get to lay out flat, thus it took a few more feet to do the run.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

PEX is great stuff !!.... YEA, rolling it out STRAIGHT is a bit of a challenge... working in the house on short runs and thru walls is very forgiving... I ran a 3/4 inch header, then 1/2 inch for anything under 30 ft.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Now the next project to save up for is plumbing & installation of a water softener. Plan on using the existing 3/4 pvc that supplies the cold water to the laundry room, that is where I will put the WS, then run new 3/4 line from the WS to the utility room about 50 ft away. There I will plumb the soft water to the water heater, sinks and showers. Will separate off the outdoor faucets and toilets to supply with unsoftened water. Also a hard water line to the RO at the kitchen sink for drinking and cooking water.
