Here is one of many Fields that had springs and uneven ground.

Uneven to the extent that it made brush hogging uncomfortable. Mower would high center or have the back wheels off the ground.

We have Installed drainage pipes with gravel and recontoured the ground....

Hope you enjoy.

The dirt area and field below were non usable prior to our reclamation chore.

Good analogy....

I grew up on this property and always knew it as a mucky pasture.

We're not running cattle anymore so to help maintain the property we gathered up all the old fence and are working to drain and level those areas.

Time and money is all it takes....

Yes Sir nothing better than reclaiming nonprofitable lands. Two years ago I dug 12 feet deep into an artesian spring, set a 3 ft culvert tile surrounded with 50 ton of small round stones. Laid 1200 feet of water pipe from there into my cellar (gravity flow). Then dug a diversion ditch for the overflow spring water and led it into my 3 ponds. That deed gave me 10 acres of hayfield I never had! Plowed last Sept, worked and seeded it April 10-12. Now it’s a beautiful dry useable piece. As said above its caring for your land, time and money well spent.

Yea

Some of the land we are just trying to dry up and make usable...

there is one valley we are trying to capture water and make spring development at the bottom ....

Challenging to say the least....
Water coming out everywhere in spring time.

Not so much in August...

Benny, you’re doing it right by using perforated field tile to catch the water at its origins & then drain it to an appropriate exit area.
Gravitational pull from our solar system’s sun combined with our earth’s moon will affect land water tidal levels. Hence, field seeps & other soil moistures will rise during planet alignments. And so, field drainage tile’s flow will increase slightly then too. Water tides are not just for oceans, but all of earth’s waters, even underground, are affected.

That's some impressive work you've done! It's amazing how reclaiming land through drainage and excavation can completely transform a space. Dealing with uneven ground can be a real hassle, so kudos to you for taking on the challenge and making the area usable again. It's always satisfying to see the fruits of your labor pay off. If you ever need more help with landscaping or outdoor projects, you might want to consider reaching out to landscape designers. They have a knack for turning ordinary spaces into extraordinary ones.
