170 Hydraulic issue

I recently purchased a 170 and i'm having an issue with the lift arms settling, it takes about 5 minutes to settle, running or not. Any help would be appreciated, THANKS

Standing behind the tractor, locate the valve section that operates the 3-point hitch. This valve section is easily identified by the hydraulic lines that connect it to the lift cylinders. On the rear of this valve section is a small "tee" handle on the end of a spool. Take a good sized punch with a 1/2" end on it and smack right on the end of that spool a couple of times with a hammer. Then, take a pliers and tighten it as hard as you can. It will tighten just like a nut on a bolt. If it tightens at all, that may be enough to solve your complaint. The degree of smacking has its limits, so if you break the valve on the tractor, your problem, not mine. A settling 3-point hitch is internal leakage of the hydraulic valve section, not any external linkage problem. If you have oil dripping on the ground, then that is your problem, but you don't say that. DO NOT expect this hitch to hold any kind of load up in the air indefinitely !! Not going to happen !! You also don't say settling with a load or not a load ?? So, what is it ??

I checked all the linkages and they all seem to be moving freely, thanks for your input, much appreciated.

So I put a heavy back blade on and after playing around with the linkages and tapping on that T handle a little and raising and lowering the arms for a while I did notice a little leakage out of both of the Hydraulic rams. This ONE SEVENTY is an older gas model and on the bottom of each ram there is a port, (they are not on my 170D or 175D) and that's where it's leaking from. I'm guessing that would be my problem so should I have both cylinders rebuilt?
