When I moved here in 1986 Larry started coming into my tire shop. I sorta lost track of him the past 10 years, after I sold the tire shop. His wife told me he was 86 years old. He is slowing down a little. He's gone from 150 head of stock cows, down to 100. He's on a tractor, in his hay conditioner, baling hay every day. He has a hundred acres or so of corn. Part of that goes to silage. Anyway we had a great chat today, lots of joking around etc. We wuz in the Dr office at the time. Bad news came later. I gots ta go in sometime in August and they are gonna run sumptin up the old water pipe and see if they can find an obstruction, scar tissue, prostate grown large again. I told the ol doc to use a double dose of pain killer before he starts. I been thinking about this. I'll be 74 in December. He looks older than me, what happens if he drops dead in the middle of this? Guys I looked at all of the gals working in his place today. They ain't gonna win no beauty contests. Heck, I better stop thinking about this I ain't gonna win no beauty contests either.

Don’t sound like he’s slowing down much. I hope I can still be going when I hit 86.
If those gals were real good looking the doctor might have more difficulty getting that tube run up in the old pipe . |

Heck Tom, I'm already 74 and I'm slowin down! Really GOOD friends are hard to find, unless you're an Allis collector and/or on the forum. Then again, on here I'm a misfit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and proud of it!!! IF I can still be going and doing what he is, I'll be happier than a pig in (shhh).
