In looking at some older FORD compact tractors, I see some of them has an "SSS" after the model and some did not. What was different about the SSS models?

one of the stockholders had one of those he bought new, was a good little tractor with a loader and a belly mower. he got hounded by the big green farmer wanna be's that he should trade it for a green tractor instead! he sold his ford tractor and bought a little green tractor...made the excuse that he wanted one that was American made!!! LMAO!!! anyways....a neighbor bought his little ford, the little green tractor has been in the shop 3 times now getting thousands of dollars in repairs, the little ford hasn't had any breakdowns so far and is still working fine. the stockholder was really PO'd when he found out his little green piece of iron wasn't made in the USA! i'd go for the little ford myself. not sure where they were made tho.

The early ones were made by Shibaura of Japan. Those are the ones I am looking at. Looking for a 1720 or 1920 with the SSS (no Hydro) with FWA and a 7108 loader if you all know of a good deal.....
Newer New Holland Tractors are made by LS which is South Korea. No thanks....
