Bad news on the 8070. Started it today and had a tapping in the bottom end.
Think I might have spun a rod bearing. Going to get the pan off in the next couple days and see whats going on

Just posting a cropped pic of 8070 with 3000 plow, so it is on the page.
Sorry to hear that the 8070 has noise of trouble... Hope nothing serious.
https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/uploads/242/8070_with_3000_plow.jpg It sure is a thing of beauty.

Awesome. Somehow my plow is different than those plows. The front wheel on my plow is directly outside the tractor wheel so i cant run dual wheels. Looks like the tube the hitch is attached to om my plow is shorter

I don't think these plows were designed to be pulled with duals on the tractor. These are pretty old plows and I think they probably came out in the late 60's. Mine is a 3000 plow as well. I cant hardly turn right at all with the duals on but in a big field I can pull it with large headlands. Next time I pull it I will yank the duals off. As far as the colters go. I have no recommendation on repair of them. Mine are not the rubber mounted type. I would suggest finding a scrap plow and just robbing some others off.

I have the same 7 furrow 3000 plow but with hydraulic resets. Hope to try it on my 220 fwd . I think they are a very rare plow.

Back in "the day", the D-21 was touted as a 7-bottom tractor and the mighty 220 Land Handler was 8-bottoms.

I have a 7 bottom toggle trip and one with hydraulic reset.  My grandpa bought the toggle trip plow new and we used to pull it with a 210.
