Need y'alls opinion on wheels and tires for an old roadster pickup. Pretty nice old truck, flathead powered, kind of a 60s type vehicle. I was wondering about what size wheels and tires to put on the rear. Do you think 8.20-15 cheater slicks on a 8" wheel or would you go with 10.00-15 on 10" wheel? I like the looks of the 10"ers but didn't know if they would look too wide for a 60s style truck. What do y'all think?

10", they'd have looked good on the '66 Chevy C10 styleside I had.
Shouldn't have sold it or the '70 Nova SS.

is it typical with "SLICKS" to put 10 inch tires on 10 inch rims ? Normally rims would be 1-2 inches smaller than tires.

Seems the Flat Head V 8 was pre 54 - so body style is step side exposed fenders , that said the MOON type covers and low look low profile tires would be one look .

roadster is not a "classic truck" as such... Heavily modified... Might look better with some type of MAG wheel.....chrome wagon wheels were common.

I agree 10 inch wide, how about aluminum slots for nostalgia, regardless check back spacing for wheel stick out past fenders and clearances for brake hardware and looking to the future if you upgrade to disk brakes and say a ford 9 inch rear axle

Always liked chrome reverse and baby moons, or Crager "GT" wheels myself. I have "Ansen Sprint" on my old Barracuda and consider them "timeless" myself.
