Looking for ideas for making rubber road bands for my 6-12 unless I can find something decent?  
The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

Easy, cut the chevrons off of a rear tractor tire, and bolt them to the steel wheels, using the existing cleat holes.  Of course, the cleats need to be removed, first...Wink

A red hot pointed bolt makes a good hole for bolts.                 MACK

I used Semi Truck Recap material for my B-Steelies after the points had been removed. 
Lots of Carriage bolts.

How about used skid steer or mini  tracks  , cut to length then bolt etc.
