After 5 years of use my B is in need of a clutch adjustment. I wish it would be easy like on my WD but... wondering if any of you have successfully done the adjustment through the small access hole on the B, and if so, what your tools looked like, perhaps even what size your hands are :) I will split the tractor if no easier way exists. I'm a little surprised how little talk there seems to be on the forum about this, for how many B's are still around.

Are you just needing to adjust the clutch freetravel. Best I remember dad would take the cotter pin out at the pedal that held the rod and turned it a few rounds and clearance was adjusted. Leon

Thanks for the tip, that would be simple enough. If the end of the rod is visible through the inspection hole that would be helpful. I wouldn't want to run out of threads in there as I'm sure it isn't easy to get the threads started going back in. I'll check it out.

Reach your hand in there , you can feel how much thread is left as you adjust.

I just did this on CA-2. You should be able to look in there with a flashlight and see how many threads are left. Probably won't take more than a round or two.

Thanks everyone for your input, the more ideas the better. The task will get done one way or another. As the old saying goes "you are smart if you learn from your own experiences but smarter if you learn from other peoples' experiences".
Happy New Year everyone! Eric
