Hello,

I’m new to this forum bit have been interested in antique tractors for a long time.

I want to add a hydraulic lift and cultivators to my B so I bought this rough old B for parts

My question is, how much of this tool bar attachment is Allis and how much is home made?

I had a C with a similar lift so I don't think it's homemade.

Welcome to the forum, good luck with the B!

the rock shaft, cylinder bracket and lift bracket are original... dont know about the arms from the tool bar to the final drive case.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I think the rock shaft at the seat is to a B, the tool bar looks like a modified tool bar from a C, to me looks like some one cobbled the tool bar from a C to fit the back of that B.
I have a C and the rear tool bar resembles that one.    Also have a B with cultivators and the rear bar on the B is a curved one, completely different from the C.

I was just on e-bay checking B lift arrangement and found a variety of items that you may be able to part together to give you a lift bar and Hyd cyl if you don't have one.  Looks like you have the hydraulic pump and perhaps a ram now.
If I recall and it has been a while you would need a lift shaft and there is a bar which goes by the right hand brake to the cultivator lift to raise it.  Since you want a B Cultivator ask for one on this site.  They are somewhat rare but may be available.
In any event let wish you the best.  Since you are new you don't know the B is my favorite and I fully support anyone who uses them
Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck!

thanks for the reply

That makes more sense now that you mention a bar moving the front cultivator lift mech.

This one has obviously been pieced together and I don’t have that piece.

I’m going to try the local tractor wrecker and see if they have any B parts.

My Mom’s father had a B and that was why my Dad restored the B. It was his first antique tractor that he restored. He then did a CA and a WD but he sold the rest of his collection except for Mom’s B.

I like using my antiques and that is why I want to set up the B as a garden cultivator.
