HI Guy's My Dad is working on one of his 190XT's it has not run in 5 years and the diesel fuel is jelled up. He is trying to get the fuel tank out of the tractor so he can use a pressure washer to clean it out. He needs a little help with getting the tank out. I wish i was closer 100 miles oneway
About 2 years ago he had the inj pump of the 200 and has it rebuild and the guy told him if he lets the tractor for i think he 6 mouths the Minn. fuel will will get jelle like. The shop said that there other Store in Sioux Falls, SD. Does not see it as much only on the pumps from Minn. They told us to get 55-75 gallons from SD. becaus of the Bio. and additives Minn put in are fuel. We also has to pull the pump of the 200 agin to have it cleand. Dad said Gas, Carb clean, Brake clean will not do anything with it he said he tryed to clean the sediment bowl he tryed all of things he had tryed none worked but water
Any ideas on what to try so the fuel will last a longer Thank You Rod in MN |

I pulled mine last year. remove the cab filler panel. empty the tank I used a siphon hose. remove the seat assembly completely. 4 bolts you can see thru the fenders into the tank mount. disconnect and remove the sediment bowls 2 bolts thru the bottom of the fuel tank. lift up slightly stick a 2x4 piece to keep it up. now comes the hard part if you have a cab. it wont pull back its about 3/8" wider than the room available you have to pry at the top to get the tank to clear the bulge in the fender where the light goes on the left fender. pry and pull it'll come out. there are two baffles in the tank so you can pressure wash thru the fuel cap and the fuel sending unit but not the middle part. stand on one end and clean stand on the other and clean do a couple times. a shop vac with a hunk of 1/2" hose with enough tape wrapped around to make it fit into the nozzle can be fished around to empty pretty good when done washing. afterwards tip on end and blow out with the same hose to get tank dry.

Take the fenders off, undo the fuel lines at the fuel bowls and the return line (if diesel). There are 4 nuts on the bottom of the operator's platform - remove them and lift the tank off. Removed mine a few years ago for it's restoration. Helps to have 2 sets of hands.
