My motorcycle riding buddy and partner in crime from days gone by passed early yesterday morning. He had been in declining health for several years and suffering from dementia so in a way it was a blessing. Glad I was able to visit with him for several hours several weeks ago when he was somewhat in his right mind. His daughter stopped by for a while this evening and she seems to be accepting it well.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

Sorry you have to go through the pain of losing a friend. Even when it’s a reload for them it’s still painful.
Gonna send prayers for you and his family..

Thank all of you for the kind and encouraging words. And I will hold on to the memories.

Tyler, I believe you are right; this has been the year for it. Several in our church have recently lost a parent or a spouse.

Sorry for your loss, no great words of wisdom. But know you take your faith seriously. So will pray for you to feel the comfort of the Lord in this time of loss.

Prayers for you and the family. May God provide mercy and strength to those so deeply affected by his loss. Lost my Dad on Christmas morning in 1995. Still remember that day vividly. It is hard to take on the day of Christ's birth. God Bless.

I too will offer you and other who have lost loved ones my sympathy. My dad is maybe 1 of 3 that do not have the virus in the rest home. We went to see him yesterday. Just like a prison movie visit. We are separated by glass and dementia, but joined by a telephone.

I always think it somewhat odd. Man has been spinning on this big ball for a few kabillion years. For all that time, folks have been dying. You would think by now we would be immune to the pain and sting of death. And we would be, IF, it wasn't for cherished memories made with the lost. But, it is in the making of these beloved memories, that makes life worth living at all. And again, so very sorry for the loss of your friend.
