Would turbo elbo off a 190/7000 bolt to 8010? I’d like to get all the heat out of the engine bay and straight pipe tractor. I understand I’ll have to move exhaust hole in hood to other side. I plan on welding other hole up and painting hood. This should let things under hood run a lot cooler.

Before making modifications, I would diagnose why it is running hot.

Tractor doesn’t run hot. But it be a lot cooler under hood with all that exhaust removed. Seems crazy to stuff all that under there

You can get a muffler eleminator, and it will be a straight pipe out the same hole

Guesse everyone missed the question in post. I for one don’t find a kit on thomures page for a 8010 and for two don’t see the reason to keep a exhaust pipe so close to A. C. Compressor. Thanks for responding just going move it to we’re it should have been on other side of hood. Was just wanting to know if elbow for 190 would fit is all.

Ive seen 8000s with straight pipes and not had to cut another hole in the hood. I almost bought one with a straight pipe. How they did it, im not for sure, but a muffler shop should be able to get you something set up. There is less under the hood on an 8010 than on a 8070, i dont find mine being too hot. A motor is going to run a certain temperature range. So there is going to be a certain amount of heat coming from any type of exaust under the hood. The fan helps push the higher heat back and out under the hood. I would look a little more for what you might need instead of cutting and drilling a new hole, but just an opinion.

I would also like to do this,, just to get that blasted exhaust pipe away from the AC compressor,, I guess theres not many here who have had to service the AC on an 8010, those service fittings are really close to the exhaust pipe.. I glanced at my 8010 this morning,,a quick glance,,, could the turbo be turned 180*? or does that put the exhaust to close to the side panel? or to many other problems created? this would make the intake side straight in,, exhaust facing to the rear..

That’s one primary reasons doing this. I have a large scar from refilling AC compressor. To find out heat from exhaust keeps killing new fittings. I’ve looked at turning turbo around also and just straight out and up. I think I’ll go straight out and up.

Been a long time since I looked under the hood of an 8010 tractor. How about simply moving the A/C compressor over 1 inch ?? (use same OEM belt?) and then sliding in a heat shield between the hot pipe and compressor ?? The muffler eliminator would help reduce overall underhood heat, but that hot pipe would still be close to the compressor.

To late dr. Just too hole saw and cut a 6 inch hole in hood and welded other side up. Took a lot of pipe out under there. Looks much cleaner

What I would have done, is, cut the original hole out,, figured out where the new one would go, cut it out, weld in factory hole in the new place, put the cutout back where old hole was...yea,, yea,,, I know,, lotsa body work, but would look good..
Did ya just cut and reweld the elbow out of the turbo?..that looks easy enough

I’ll get pics when I get chance. I rewelded hole. Ground down smooth. When I’m done painting won’t know any difference. I used turbo elbo off 190 turbo I had Layin on shelf. Figure I’ll sell muffler turbo and pipes to some originalist.

No mine didn’t have asp. Tube. 7010 exhaust turbo flange had correct offset to miss air filter tube that run along tin and put hole through hood. No I didn’t sell any of original exhaust parts. Not sure I will. Figure I’ll sell them with tractor some day incase someone wants put back original.
