I would like to contact Jim, the A-C dealer who took care of the equipment at the
Loretta Lynn ranch. Jim was our speaker at the Allis-Connection a couple of
years ago and told great stories about his experiences with the Lynn family.
CRS has struck and I don't remember Jim's last name and my apology for
the lapse.
Thanks much,
Dean

Hello Dean. It just so happens I recorded a Machinery Pete episode with a segment on Loretta Lynn's involvement with Allis Chalmers. I believe the gentleman's name is Tim Brannon of B&G Equipment in Paris,TN. They are still in business and have a website. Hope this helps and have a blessed day

Dave from old allis news gave me the number to one of the dealers and we had a great conversation. Wish I recorded it. Get in contact with Dave to help you.

That would have been Jim Austin.  He had a dealership in Paris at that time - we purchased it from him and dealt with the LLDR as we were about an hour away... his home was Maury City Tn  Austin Equip/Machinery... lives in Eva Tn. now.
When told "it's not the money,it's the principle", remember, it's always the money..

My cousins, but have always been like grandparents owned an AC dealership in Paris, TN Jim&Delma Austin. In 1978 they got a deal with Loretta Lynn to use AC and asked her to sit on every pc of new equipment and take a pic(to help sales) and she agreed to this. She cooked dinner for them that night at the big house on her ranch. Another time they went Loretta was barefoot in the kitchen canning vegetables. They say she is just a down to earth country girl
