to go to a tractor show I jumped the gun.  Got the tractor ready last night, new antifreeze and all.  Vehicle blocking my trailer had a dead battery so I put the charger on it all night.  Get up this morning, move the vehicle, hook up to the trailer and have to top off all four tires.  Grumpy old U normally starts second pull decided not pop until pull number 7, out of breath I get it loaded.  I pull out on the main road and promptly a black cat runs Hell bent for election across the road in front of me.  I set the air to everything and back up 50 yards, turn the whole shootin match around and go a mile around.  Get to town, fuel up the truck and tractor and head South.  I get about halfway there and decide to call Sam for directions to the show, get it all written down and apologize for running late but assure him I'll show up.  Then he tells me the show is next week.

A black cat?  You're kidding me...

I have black cats all around here... they're the best mouse, rat. and mole-killing friends I could ever have!  ;-)

Teaching them to hand-start the U might be a challenge, though...
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

Dave, I’m not superstitious but it don’t cost anything to knock on wood and 2020 being what it is, I’m not taking any chances.
I put this show on my phone calendar with alerts and normally schedule the first alert 2 days in advance but somehow hit 1 week on this one. Heard the alert and didn’t look at the actual schedule, took it for granted I had 1 day to get ready once I got home. Oh well, truck and trailer are ready for the weekend, the tractor, I may tinker with a little.

I think a lot of people share your excitement to get to go to a show. We have had a lot of inquiries so should be a good turn out. It will be nice to see some “normal” this year.

Lots of tractors, great group of collectors and an excellent host. Forgot several things like, not covering the mag in case it rains!!!! Kinda odd for the first show of the year in late August. Crazy storm made things interesting but not one tractor got damaged. Only got a couple shots , too busy having fun.

Thanks JW, it was fun right up to the storm. Homes around the park are still without power. We will try for better weather next year.
