I was out at the farm today to "fire up" the equipment. I started looking at the traction belt that goes from the main counter shaft, over the "idler" pulley and down to the tranny input . OMG, if that belt needs replacing, how does it get "squirreled" onto the tranny pulley with the brake mechanism within an 1"of that brake assembly ??

Luckily it's not a needed repair, I just happened to look down and noticed how close the pulley was to the brake "tower"

Mack, I wondered about which sheave moved on the "bottom end"
![]() ![]() ![]() Sadly, I'm the one that has greased the 2 fittings on the lower end for the past 12 years and NEVER noticed the clearance until this past weekend ![]() ![]() Edited by FREEDGUY - 17 Aug 2020 at 5:29pm |
