Many people mistake the McCormick-Deering Type M engines as "hit-n-miss". They are Throttle Governed...meaning they fire every cycle and don't miss 3 or 4 revolutions.
All three are very nice running engines and are fun to play with.

These engines amaze me to no end. My Grandpa bought a new "Economy" I think a 5HP from Sears Roebuck back in 1915. My dad ended up with it and now my older brother got it and he rebuilt it and runs it every once and a while. I always thought he should get an "Economy" tractor to go with it.

As in the ones made in the late 30's with Ford Model A engines in them? Or, the smaller garden tractors?

I always liked the looks of the late 30`s, But for show and tell at shows either one would go good. He had it at Buckley for several years, but not recently.
