I have been going through my combine getting it prepared for picking corn. I raised the head and pulled it out of the shed with no issues. Now the corn head will not lower nor will the variable speed pulley.

Linkages are working. The valves are moving. Not sure what the problem is or what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

Are you sure the power steering works??   If not, maybe the pump ate its pigs.

Safety drop down on the corn head cylinder? Probably not with the variable speed not moving.

just used my E in wheat. ----- Make sure the little res. is filled to the line with type A trans fluid.
Block up the head and check the pump for output pressure---if good then its stuck valves.

Sounds like you raised header, using all the oil in tank. Takes pressure to unseat poppet for header to lower. Or poppet in header valve broken. VS could be stuck.           MACK
