Lost the outside shoe and broke a guard. Local TSC or COop doesn’t carry either part. The Ford guard may work but is thicker than my AC guards. Anyone have a good source for AC mower parts? Agco prices are through the roof.

Take another one off and use a New Holland guard. I use them and the outer shoes separator head.. Works fine and the separator head has a better anti plug device. HTH Tracy

New Holland guards work great but somewhere on the site is a link to an aftermarket that makes reproductions

I got some nice used Allis ones from Lad Benes last year. Him, Alex or Mack should be able to get you fixed up.

Our local farm and home store has a cross reference from Hershel.   I put all new guards on my 82 from there. Guards have replaceable ledger plates too. They work great. Good luck. Even got the outter end from them.

Thanks for the responses, Mack is checking to see if he has a few for me. If he doesn’t have any Alex I will PM you.
I’m trying to stay with the original style without ledger plate so I don’t have to replace them all. The one with ledger plate I’m sure would cut better but its also a thicker guard making the bottom of the cutter bar uneven. Part number stamped on my guard is 803973.

I replaced all the sections with Herschel tiger teeth this spring and they cut great with the standard guard.
