Glad to hear you are on the mend, Michael, and to think you would have been at Hutch if it had not been canceled.  Hope you are feeling better every day!

At least on the mend that IS Good!!, Hate to hear of more Covid19 spreads.  What the Media seems to not tell people is that just under half the infected since the infections arrived here have recovered, some 68% recover with few to limited issues, less than 20% end up with some sort of running malady and the last are those that ended up on vents for weeks and are requiring massive rehab.  ALWAYS better to hear when it runs as a Flu bug even if bad to hear at all.

Michael, sorry to hear this, but glad you are on the mend.  It's okay to take a few days off from rehabbing your new Two-Twenty.  It'll still be there in a few days. Wink

In case you didn't see it on the news.  Don't ;eave your hand sanitizer in the car.  They showed a car door that had caught on fire when it got too hot and ignited.

Make sure the hand sanitizer  you buy says Ethyl alcohol in the ingredients and not Methyl alcohol.  The Metho is highly flammable.  There are reports of people getting flash burned when they got to close to an open flame.  That would suck, getting burned flesh on your S'mores!

Wear your mask over your nose and mouth.  If you need to take it off to talk or for some other reason.  Unhook it from one ear, DO NOT pull it down below your chin.  That sorta defeats the purpose of the mask.  I put mine on in the car before going into the store, and don't take it off until I'm in the car ready to leave.  When you take your mask off, don't touch the mask, take it off by unhooking it from you ears.

Hope this helps!  I got cancer so it's important for me to keep up on all this stuff!

thanks for the 'well wishes',, still getting better, I jus hope there isn't some relapse program with this crap, I sure don't want to do it again. I thought my allergies/hay fever was acting up really bad,, I mowed a lot weeds couple weeks ago and really got them(allergies) fired up,,,so,,,.
not sure where or when I got it,, I really haven't been out and around lotsa people lately,, but,, well,, someone had it that I have been around...Dr. said need contact (less than the 6' limit)for like 15 minutes or so,

some thoughts on Covid
now that I've had it,, why do I need a mask?,, I should have an immunity, right??

I've had it, when I get over it I can't spread it,,,right??so,, why a mask??

I really think we all are going to get this crap, just a matter of time,, unless you stay locked in your house and in a plastic bubble

Hang in there Michael.  CDC told us 10 days from start or first symptoms and at least 3 days of no symptoms before getting back out in public.  We're now at around the 20 day mark and all feeling back to normal though we do get hit with a bit of unexpected fatigue.  For us, and after the symptoms went away, we were just flat out fatigued and without energy.  Doc said that was too be expected and happens to most;  news media doesn't talk about that part.
Wife and I are planning to donate plasma at around the 30 day mark.

And, yes sir for sure, that nasal swab is not pleasant!  They swabbed so hard on my daughter she left with a bloody nose for 5 or 10 minutes.

Glad you're getting better Michael.  I guess it's a good thing they called off Hutch, or maybe I'd have gotten it from you.

Just because you've gotten it, you CAN get it again, because it mutates, and yes, you can still spread it so wear a mask to protect yourself and others.

Joe, you can't be overly cautious, especially with how Joyce is doing.  So yes, use wipes and anything else you can to be safe.
And that goes for you too Dale!  We need your skinny little butt around here to keep us all in stitches.  How's those legs doing?

Glad your feeling better, we gotta all meet in Hutch next year.  Gotta feeling you won't get it again, rest of us will probably have it at some point, darned allergies probably weakened your system and it had its opportunity.  Get well buddy, sure could use your help on this fence, since you're so good at it and had lots of practice lately.

Michael, glad you are on the mend and it didn't kick your rear end too bad. From what I have heard those nasal swabs are not fun, they run them through your nose all the way to your brain stem. My wife's mother, my wife and I all came down with some type of bug just before this Covid 19 became popular and just felt like crap for about a week. I have been wondering if we might have picked up some strain of this mess. All of us had our flu vaccines back in the fall.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

My brother had it back in early April, as did basically his entire apartment complex in NYC.  Nobody in their area suffered any serious effects, but their area is basically all under 55.  As of last week, he reported that NOBODY in his complex, or anyone he knows of, has reported getting it 'twice'.  Like rhinovirus (common cold), any virus will mutate, the only question is will it mutate 'enough', to not be recognized by the antibodies you've built up to combat it.

To place this into perspective...  Humans mutate... that's the reason why we're all a little bit different... and while some of us have higher tolerance for certain things, we'd ALL die from exposure to some things... as we simply cannot mutate enough to become resistant to say... cyanide gas, or being crushed under a train, or shot with a bazooka.

Hopefully, EVERYONE that gets it, will find out early, self-sequester from the population, and recover with little or no side-effects, and come back to active society with enough immunity so that exposure has no future effect.

Prayers and Best wishes to all! ;-)
