Hi All,
I went out the other day and bought myself a really nice looking All Crop 90 for less than what the scrap price would have been. Only problem is its over an hour from my house driving normally, so I need to tow it home. The tires on it were cracked enough I couldnt really see the size on them when it was in the back of the shed. Can anyone tell me what size she is supposed to have? I tried digging around online to find out, but from what I can tell, there is almost no real information on the 90's online. Thanks

If you have two loaders they are not hard to pick up and the tires straddle a 8 1/2’ bed nicely. I hauled mine home that way.

Make sure you have extra wide mirrors to see behind you. Some DOT get nuts about that crap. Did you have to get any wide load permits? I should have when I hauled my 66 and 72 combines home but took the risk since it was back roads.

Luckily, we have an Implements of Husbandry law that basically exempts farm equipment from the oversized load permit requirements, so long as its properly lighted. In the case of the 90, all i Need to do is make sure my magnetic tail lights are attached on the far inside corner that could possibly be in the oncoming lane, and put my amber disco ball on top and i should be good. As for mirrors, ive got a Fu**king Old Russian Dunebuggy from when Ford put the huge towing mirrors on their F250's.

I towed mine about 55 miles, I did make a off set hitch to move the hitch over to the edge of the pickup. Greased the wheel bearings and stopped to see if they were getting warm, all went well.

It was on Facebook when I found it, but it might have been on craigslist too. Up by Gilman? If it was the same one, it looked great. It was getting dark when I got there to take a look at it, but it looked pretty clean. There was a bit of rot in the bottom of the head, but that was about all I saw when I looked. The seller said the scour kleen screen had a hole in it too, but I figure for the price I he was asking, I wasnt going to argue about needing to do a bit of work.

When you pull the rims to mount new tires, check the bearings; grease gun will be your friend on that trip, feel the hubs for heat every 8-10 miles and take it easy . . . . .

Well, it took 6 hours to do it, but she made it into the shed at midnight last night. Now for the cleaning and fixing part.
