Hello everyone.
If you followed the thread on the 185 value. Well we brought it home today. So far it seems like a rim is bad, need few batteries, fuel shut off cable, 3pt hitch ram leaks and the pin is out of the brake paddle shaft. Hoping that's all is wrong with brakes. And muffler. Final deal was $2550. Well the $50 is for a set of 3bottom snap coupler spring trip gauge wheel plows. At the wash bay. And under our ac sign |

Just realized both pictures are of the same side lol. And need front tires. He said awhile ago the grill fell off and ran it over with bush hog and that's a new grill, which is a little pushed in. Does anyone have a rim patch for a 18/4-30 rim.

Congratulations on your 185. Looks like it is great shape and ready and ready for some TLC. My father purchased our 185 new from our local dealer in 1975 and it was a workhorse on our family dairy farm in Eastern Ontario - a great tractor to operate. Good luck with your project |

Gary,
Our Century Farm is in Lancaster Township (now South Glengarry) near Cornwall. We were fortunate to have excellent local AC Dealers: Ranald V. MacDonald a local farmer, Garage Marchand in Saint-Telesphore, Quebec and Boucks Hill Feed Co in Williamsburg. There was also dealers in Vernon (near Ottawa), Avonmore, and Plantaganet we visited periodically if the locals did not have a part in stock. My two brothers still farm there, milk a slew of cows, grow corn/soybeans/hay/barley, and now drive Ford/New Holland tractors. |

Thanks Dana. I was thinking of you, dad had the guy stand with the tractor for a picture. He's 96 and seemed to be happy to get his picture taken.

Congratulations Mikez! Is your new 185’s 301 engine rpm’s still cranking 2200? Or, has it been turned up a few hundred rpm? I believe all175s &185s (1969-81)were crop hustlers. Here’s an older forum link that discusses the “crop hustlers”. https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/crop-hustlers_topic10463.html Seems they lost their stripes early though? Here’s another interesting discussion about the decals. https://allischalmers.com/forum/landhandlers_topic135767_page1.html Edited by AC7060IL - 30 May 2020 at 12:26pm |
