Picked up a two bottom disc plow this weekend. Pin hitch not snap coupler and not semi mounted. Just went searching for an owners manual on Ebay and it seems like there could be a different plow for the ca and the wd. Anyone got any info ?

Wd's would likely pull a 3 bottom, where the most a CA will do, is 2 bottom...Wink

I had a 2 bottom disc plow with the WD hitch. I pulled it with my CA without any issues. Wish I still had that plow, it was fun.
Thanks & God Bless

Never worked on or ran a "CA", but I thought there was something different about the lift arm spread width?? over a WD and larger  ?? or maybe the pulling eye/pull bar length ??

You are correct on all counts. However the WD rear mounted equipment will still work on a CA as long as the lift links pivot and have the right hardware. Snap-coupler is the easiest as parts are everywhere. I posted a video of my CA pulling a 3-14 plow. That plow is setup for a WD or WD-45. The CA handled it very well in both pulling and lifting.

So a ca can pull a disc plow made for a wd but can a wd pull a disc plow made for a ca? Sounds like no.

Any mounted equipment made for a CA will not work on a WD do to the shorter hitch on the implement.

The difference in the hitch as far as the tongue on a plow I've seen is the bolt on piece
that goes into the snap coupler is longer on a WD/D 14 series etc than on a CA,D10/12 the basic tongue is the same just swap pieces.Believe I remember some  of the end pieces actually had two sets of holes for either.

The pull bars for the CA are different than the pull bars for the WD.

Main reason a CA won't handle a 3 bottom disc-plow, is the weight, if you do manage to hook it up, the lift lever will just lift the front end of the CA!Wink

Now you got me thinking Dave! I have a 3 bottom disc plow that I replaced the discs on. I’ve never hooked up to it yet. I’ll try the CA and see how it lifts it. They are heavy. I highly doubt the CA can pull a 3 bottom disc plow as a 2 bottom works it pretty good, but I just got to try!
Thanks & God Bless
