Takes a good puller and some heat. Once it starts moving, don't stop.       MACK

hmm..
Could you use a LITTLE crazy glue to keep the woodruff key in the slot ?
Maybe bevel the top edges of the key where the drum slides on ??

I'm wondering what 'trick' A-C did on the assembly line ? I try to figure out HOW something was assembled or made so dang fast.
It'd be nice to go back and SEE how they did it.....

The oven method works great for a ring gear so it should work just fine for that.  I had to wait for a day when the wife was out!!Big smile

If my little torch won't do the trick I'll probably try laying the drum on my gas grill . Using the wife's oven sounds kinda risky . Thanks

You're right Steve . I first tried the little torch , no luck . Happy to say I put it on the gas grill and finally have the drum back in place . I also put a dab of loctite on the bottom of the woodruff key . Now if only my parts would show up . Thanks !!
