The wife was watching a Rosanne episode that had a cameo of LL. Is she the person that ALLIS did product testing on her property or am I thinking of a different singer ? Ouch

A.C. used her and mony ranch in the 80's.The southern dealers would bring people in to test drive equipment and % off were offered if you bought equipment within a short time after. A.C. provide them equipment to work there ranch for being able to bring people in for demos. I always enjoyed going to it as a teenager. I went 3 times.

Friends of mine know Loretta's family well. They still have some motorcycle racing at her ranch. Tony, local motorcycle racing promoter, said he was there last fall and they still have some AC equipment on the property.

The allis testing was ending at around the same time they started haveing the motor cross races there.iv been trying to find out if in the transition time did any of the advertising have both motor cross and allis chalmers on it. If you look up the first moto cross race there and watch it there's allis tractors parked near track and a big allis chalmers sign by track.

Everyone needs to visit Hurricane Mills. If you're an old school country fan its a pilgrimage really.

I remember going there as a kid for field days. I live about an hr from there. Last time I went to a field day, was when they were debuting the green tractors. Needless to say, most people weren't impressed. It was shortly after that when they ended the relationship.

Back in the AC hay day, they would have all the new tractors lined up there at the farm visitor center. It was a sight to behold. I think Tbran spent quite a bit of time there when he was with AC.

Loretta's grandson Ernie owns some property right down the road from me. I should ask him some time about the AC, although he's quite the character.

My dad 1st cousin was partner in Madison county eq. in Huntsville Al. What I remember about stuff heard on the ride up each time was they displayed the tractors around the tourist area year around and had info about them. Then provide all the equipment to run the farm. Remember seeing her twins working at the gift shop and snack stand. Also an AC cap was given out each year to those who attended.usually something new our area dealers had not had.
