Was wandering if anyone out there was reproducing unstreamlined rear fenders? I can just use the rolled bands and build what I have if need be.
Thanks for any info. |

I assume you are talking about fenders for an unstyled WF or WC?

I made a pair of fenders for a 38 unstyled WF from unstyled WC fenders. You must use the inner skirt from the WF fender or fab a new one. Also the WC fender is longer and must be cut down. I could not find the correct "high top" rivets to fasten to the brackets so I made some.

Correct the non-"streamlined" is what I'm inquiring about. Was hoping someone out ther was rolling a few reproduction ones.
If I cant find that I guess I'll sacrifice some wc fenders. Just curious b26240, how or what did u use for your rivets? I hadn't got quite that far in my search. Btw it is a top notch restoration I plan. Already in way too deep to quit. |

T Hunter; Mild steel whatever size the head was, been at least 10 years put it in the collet chuck on the lathe ground a hss tool bit to form cut the raidius turn the body to size and part off. I do remember heating the end red hot and peening with the head resting on a block of wood to not damage (flatten) it.
