What's the longest you've kept "conditioned" corn in a bin? 14.5 moisture, less than 1% FM, no "bugs" and a stirator in the bin. Dad's grain hauler claimed he had a customer that had "quality" corn stored for 3 years Smile .

Beats me. I either need money, or cattle feed, or often both so I rarely have it over 16 months.

15% should be good for approximately a year, longer is supposed to be under 13%.

If you have a bin that’s quite full, you’re supposed to monitor the temp in the spring time. As the air temperature warms up, you have a huge mass of grain that’s cold from winter. You’ll get condensation just like a cold beverage on a hot day. Run the fans and warm up the grain to around average temps.

Hauled some from a elevator that had it stored for a little over two years, was damn near Black and full of borers, they said they had no idea until started emptying the bin that was as bad as did have stirrer and checked moisture fairly often. Had seen a few bores but did not expect what came out of the leg. Was a 50% reduction loss as to crappy condition when got to buyer, they actually had a spot to put it with other just like it and would be a special load to pet food company not for human or export consumption.
