Hood decals too high and crooked. Grille emblem too low. Engine oil cooler the newer aluminum housing instead of cast iron. Acousta cab #2 with flat front. Radial tire on left front.

Orange axles (should be black)
Two lights in the center top of the cab (wth?) It looks lonely and in need of a good home...

It either never had a cab to begin with and sometime after the Fall of 1977 they bought a new current production cab, or the tractor had a factory cab and it got rolled over sometime after Fall of 1977 and the cab was replaced with the current production cab.

Thank you, thought maybe a previous owner might have done some "shade tree" upgrades for the better. Lipstick on a pig is probably the better scenario .

Actually looks like the left side hood decal is on the right, besides being high. Edited by NE GA Allis - 26 Mar 2020 at 8:49pm |

DrAllis, which models received the cast housing oil coolers? Which models received the aluminum oil cooler housing?

Early 7030/7050's had cast iron oil coolers that were square like a box. Aluminum came later on and was cheaper to make I suspect.

Sluicing has a meaning therefore the statement FREEDGUY typed could be considered almost coded. Sluicing means making a statement without stating all the words but the statement would still be understood. A simple example would be .... Fred can repair a carburetor, not Dennis..... It's assumed that Dennis cannot repair a carburetor without the statement being completed. That is sluicing.
Also sluice or sluiced means wash or washed. Had to look that one up.
