Hello. I started building a few reproduction swathboards for the Allis mowers a couple of years ago. I had an original on a mower than has been in my family since it was new and I used it for a pattern for the wood swathboard and the metal hardware. The swathboard is made of oak, the grass stick is a hardwood dowel. The metal pieces are an exact copy of the ones on my original board. I have them cutout by a friend that has a CNC plasma cutter. The board and metal pieces are all primed before painting.  The ones I built last year I charged $85 plus shipping. Let me know if there is any interest and I will get an updated price as it might cost me a little more for the metal hardware pieces this year. Here is a picture of one of them that I built. Normally the metal hardware is painted orange, but the individual I built this one for wanted the metal pieces painted black. Let me know if any of you are interested and if I get enough interest I will get geared up to build some.
Thanks!
Ben

I would be interested in just a bare, painted board, as I have everything else. You can PM me a price. It would ship to 43302, business address. I bought two grass sticks from AGCO last year, they cost around $2.50 each. Thanks.  Jim

The original swathboard that was on my 80S was orange with black letters. You could barely make out the black Allis Chalmers, but it is there. I don't paint the letters on the ones I build. I figure that if someone wants them, they can paint them on themselves of buy a decal and stick on there. I guess if someone really wants the letters, I could figure something out.

I might be interested in just the metal parts as I am missing them on one of my mowers. Any chance thats possible and if so, what would it set me back?

Dave, thanks for letting me know what your NOS board looks like. Its interesting that alot of them were varnished and mine was orange from the factory. Maybe I'll have to start varnishing all the boards I build from now on. lol Anyone else have an original or NOS swathboard? If so please let me know if its painted or varnished.
Thanks!

Guys, I got to town day before yesterday and talked to my friend that cuts out the metal hardware. He said the prices should be close to the same. Maybe a little bit higher. He's going to be away from his shop for a couple of days so it will be a little bit yet before I get updates prices. If any of you are in need of your swathboard soon, please pm me and I'll see what I can do. I know haying season is starting in some areas.
Thanks!

I have an NOS one around that Dad bought for the CA sickle mower(varnish, no paint). I actually put it on my No 5 JD mower to cut the CRP ground once Shocked I just needed the grass stick to help divide one pass from the next.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't got back to many of you about the swathboards. I've had some medical issues come up and I've been busy running to and from the doctor and trying to hay at the same time. We're about finished with haying and I'll have surgery around the middle of the month. Things should then slow down and I'll get to work on the swathboards and get you guys updated prices. I've replied to everyone that has sent me a pm. Again I apologize for not getting back to many of you sooner. I've decided to put clear marine grade varnish on the boards instead of painting them. The metal hardware will be painted orange. I'm also considering making some reproduction inner and outer shoes for the mowers if there is enough interest. Let me know if any of you would be interested in such a thing and I'll decide if I should pursue it or not.

Thanks!
Ben

The swathboard assembly is the same for the Number 3, number 5, number 7, the B-C and all the 80 and 82 series mowers.
There are some variations in part numbers, but the assembly is the same.
