i guess so,,,,the only'ist thing I remember bout them dry cells,is we used to make telegraph sets back in school science class and used them Dry Cell batteries,,,I ain't seen one since,,,

More than likely, it was used for the old dry cell batteries that were used in the old crank telephones... and used as ignitor for gas engines and for telegraphs and radios. They were good sized batteries... an still only 1 1/2 volts each. ![]() ![]() |

Use to have them big 1.5 V drycells when had model airplanes - use to heat glow plug to start .045 engine - when they lost all voltage (dead) took a nail and poked two holes in top - then poured amonia on top and let it absorb in - got the battery back to life again for a month or so - then had to wet it down again
Lot of old electric fence chargers used a couple of the 1.5 volt batteries also

yeah #6 drycells... with Fahnstock(sp) clips ( springs with holes)/ sad thin is I've got some Everyready Tshirts with the logo upstairs......
