Is it broken or just worn? If the padding comes off,they are pretty sharp. I have taken a couple of those off that had bad padding and then buffed off the rest of the padding. Then you can slide a piece of 5/8 heater hose over the strap. You will need to lube the hose to get it over the strap with something, it's a tight fit. I just rivet it back in place and it looks pretty good and is a lot easier on the hands. You could also take the one off of the right door and put it on the left. The right door rarely gets used here.

I ordered one from agco a few years back and it was a piece of bent tubing. I never used it . I been thinking about making mine like Lynn said but have one of the leather belt guys sew two pcs together and slide that over a new SS strap. Could even have it stamped with the AC logo.
Allis Chalmers still exist in my mind and barns

It would look like a farm boy fixed it, but how about a length of serpentine belt? It would be black and hold its shape.?.?.
