Which way do you have to have the dimple on the hub in or out for the hubs to be engaged to the motor? The dimple on my m3 are in, is this correct?

Dimple is out on my R7. Should be engaged. Pushing in will disengage. Thats how a gilcrest is but it works a little different. Book says to keep engaged except when towing.
