Only thing on a 2018 that's not steel is the hood . 2019 are different I guess . Thanks

Have to lighten them up to gain economy, is not good for towing as when the truck gets lighter the trailer can push around easier.

I'm sure you're right Dave . Seems to me that they add weight with all the bells and whistles the newer trucks have though. Thanks

I looked at more than a dozen different pickups before I bought 1. My pal at the body shop told me "If you buy a new ford I'll get you a steel box and put on it". I have no idea where he gets them. He's done a dozen or so. We decided to go with the Chevy because it rode better than ford or Dodge.
