Does anyone have a good picture of the proper way that the traction booster decals should be placed near the levers on the right hand side of the seat? I just restored my grandpa's D17 and the old decals were faded before I started. I looked in the operator's manual that I have, and some of the pictures seem to be different. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Here is a picture from when I restored my Series IV 10 years ago. Not a very good picture though... Here is a clearer picture from my 175. As in the above picture, they will need to be applied to those half moons. You did a nice job on that tractor! |

Thanks guys for all the kind comments! As you know, it took a lot of time to make it look this good, but it was worth every minute to see the smiles on my dad and grandpa's faces. Thank you for the decal placement pictures. I just need to get the remaining small decals on, then I can call this project complete. Fun fact... my grandpa and his brother bought this tractor brand new back in late 1963. Grandpa told me the other day that the dealer who sold it to him is still living. I would like to get a picture of all three of these guys together with this tractor! I think it would be neat!

This was after we pulled the tractor out of the paint shop. My grandpa (83) is on the seat, dad (55) is standing on the drawbar, me (33) holding Mason (4), and Nolan (2) sitting on grandpa's lap.

You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul
