I have an antique tool or something. I was wandering if anyone could give me any advice on what it is worth and where I might try selling it. It is in a wooden box with hinges and on the inside of the top it has a paper inside that say Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing, Company Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Under that is says Type A Chronometric Tachometer. In the upper right corn it has Form 4121 8-45. Any advice or help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Image result for Allis Chalmers Type A Chronometric Tachometer

I see this one listed online for sale at $120 saying it's RARE. I don't  know if they are rare, but they might be real handy for a guy trying to set his All Crop combine speeds.

If it has the rubber tip, and is complete, Around here, at auction it'd prolly fetch $75-150.

It was used to set shaft speeds on variable drive cylinder reels on AC and other combines, among other uses...Wink

I have a few...is the rubber drive “wheel” in the box? That is for measuring feet per minute on belt driven equipment.. Measures RPM to 10,000. It’s a handy tool, unfortunately looks like this one is broken. It’s missing the drive in the pic

The picture I posted, is not the one asked about in the original post. It's one I found for sale online.
