Anything special? Or just a unit and lead to gauge? Mine just boiled over and it wasn't reading hot. It did work. This is a new issue. I let it idle down a nice long while before shutdown. So I imagine pull the side panels, blow it all out(does not look all weed seeded up) pressure wash and look for faults. I was running a 10' brushhog and it is hot out. It was a hot day on the round baler the other day and this didn't happen.

There is one wire to the sending unit. The connection needs to be clean and the unit well grounded to the engine to work accurately.
As to the overheating, make sure the radiator and condenser are clear of debris. It also helps if the space below the radiator has the foam pad so air is not drawn in from below. Talking from experience. Joe

Thank you. It wasn't whistling tea kettle hot. But I will check the rad, condenser and in between. Plus the foam. May just be a loose connection because it did register some.
Also noticed the TOP rad hose was pretty soft. Bottom had a wire in it to keep it from sucking shut. Can it happen with a top hose? Edited by exSW - 21 Jul 2019 at 6:45pm |

Revisit. Well, it didn't look to bad. Until I took the side panels off and it still didn't look bad.But between the backpack blower and the air compressor I got a lot of stuff out of there. Especially between the oil cooler,ac condenser and the radiator. Took the fin comb to the condenser also. The foam was there. Now on the the sending unit, lead, gauge.
