Hey folks,

Just wanted to share an update here on our WD45 diesel project. Haven't gotten around to doing an official post on the forum yet. We were able to get our motor completely rebuilt. Midwest Cylinder Head in Nevada,IA rebuilt our block. We installed new ARP head bolts and nuts, rebuilt the injectors, and bought a rebuilt head. Head gasket was ordered new through AGCO with removable rings. We are very happy with the way this project turned out. Nothing like the sound of a 230 engine running. Thanks to Michael Crowe, Don Bradley, and Dave Buttjer for all of your guidance and advice as we completed this project. Lots of money invested to do one right, but the outcome is worth the wait.

Well, with those names mentioned as guidance, you really can't go to wrong! Nice job Blake! Probably runs as good as it looks! I like the use of the Petcocks in the side of the block for block drainage. I do that myself on my engines...

Steve,

Thanks for the kind words. We had considered painting it but thought the paint that was already on it looked fine. I have a video of it running but the picture quality deteriorates when I try to post to YouTube and then share link. Not sure what the trick is.

Chris,

We plan on using it yes. Going to disc with it some and maybe plow a few acres a few times a year.
