Thanks to all who helped me figure out the broken axle on my Allis G 48v electric. The axle is fixed and the tractor is running (although I am still stuck in 2nd gear and can't get low gear or reverse). I now have a hydraulic question. I drained all the transmission fluid and cleaned out the case while doing the axle repair. Prior to the draining the hydraulic worked. The motor would turn the hydraulic pump and the belly moved up and down but the tractor wouldn't move because of the broken axle. Now the tractor moves but the pump won't activate. I am wondering if I either put too thick of hydraulic fluid in or there is an air blockage. For fluid I used the hydraulic / transmission fluid that is at NAPA (yellow 5 gallon can). For the air block, is there a way to prime the pump or bleed the air out of the pump? Thanks for any help.

Think that pump is scaled down version of WD45.If so,those piston pumps don't need any priming.Just fluid and rotation. Are you sure the pump is turning.Is there something that has to be engaged that you changed when doing other work? Someone will have your answer.Hang tight.

The oil is supposed to be 20 weight.
How thick was the oil and you filled it up with needs to be up to the threads were the plugs is located.

The shop manual or operator's manual should cover changing the hydraulic oil and putting it to work. i think I already posted at least the shop manual for you and there is an operator's manual in that same directory.

The belt pulley must be engaged to tun the hydraulics to run/work.
