![]() ![]() My 25-40 is coming home. Coincidentally, I found this tractor from a 2017 auction. I'm wondering as to why the air breather is mounted as such and a few other odds and ends. |

The early 25-40s had he air cleaner in the rear. That is not the correct air cleaner.

Kind of what I figured. I've only seen them with the front mount air breather.

Is that a Heisler add on air cleaner? Someone correct me if I wrong. I had 1 similar to that on a 10-20 MD. Old mechanic told me the one i had was a Heisler add on. Supposed to increase HP a little. Again please correct me if this is wrong.

Is it the same one pictured in the auction? If so, someone worked hard removing the concrete from the wheels! |

Yup, the air cleaner is a field modification as are the breathers up through the hood and what appears to be another breather on the rear crankcase door. Must have been rum, with a lot of blow by?? LOL. Years ago people would remove all that and put it back to original, Personally I'd leave it as it is. It is unusual and unique thus it will draw lookers at a show. Otherwise its just another restored 25-40, yawn.,.
