I don't have the answer, but my guess is probably. My neighbor is worried about 2-4D killing his cats. I can't answer that either. I'm not going to quit using it, or Roundup either. I might get cancer, probably will anyway. My Dad died with cancer six years ago. MY sister died with cancer two weeks ago. I might as well follow suit. Something is going to kill ya.

I lost 1 kidney to cancer
Will be 70 this Dec 9th. Will continue to spray Roundup on the poison Hemlock on moms farm. If it kills me, well I've lived a good life. My kids will get a little something when I kick off. That is if I can keep the old gal from opening a check book.

I watched a program on PBS about Cancer. Some of the most prominent Cancer Specialists in the nation spoke on the program. One Specialist drew a circle cut in half with one a half circle ,the other half slices like a pie. In the slices was marked all of the known causes of Cancer. Genetics,Environment, Food,Stress,Smoking,Viruses. In the other half he had written Unknown!

Yes of course it does just ask any "Fruit ConfusedorConfused Nut" running around in  the smartest city in the whole world.WinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWink I could explain why we know it is so smart,Wink but I stay out of politics.LOLLOLLOL Cause I don't want writers cramps.LOL You all do know the reputation of the 9th circuit court of appeals,Wink that will be this were this goes on appeal,Wink right.LOL Or should I have said circus court.Wink

If glyphosate causes cancer my guess is it is the generic made in China and they are adding a cup of toxic wastes to every 2.5G jug they send this way.Wink But hay I am lazy & cheap, so I just bought a jug of the China made this week.LOL All this rain Wink I should of bought 2. But I do have to spike it to knock the big mustard, malva, and horehound.

Someone tried scaring me about 10 years ago about Roundup. The information at that time in 3rd world countries there may be a link to cancer. BUT THEY WERE WASHING HAND SPRAYERS IN THE DITCH THEY GOT DRINKING WATER OUT OF. But even then it was only in places that had a very high level of something other element(cannot remember which, but only in tropical places generally) in the soil. One of the things we need a drop of in you but 10 drops will kill you nutrients. But since the placebo effect has been proven,Wink I will continue to use but believe it will not cause cancer.LOL

Pretty sure glyphosate does not cause cancer. Seen an add on tv yesterday that said ,now that it has been proven that glyphosate causes cancer, all cancer lawsuits can move forward, and they were advertising for business. This is nothing more than an opportunity for lawyers to make money. I think this is more fake news.

I'd like to know the conditions this "victim" was using Roundup. Lost count how many times I see tv ads showing users blasting weeds in shorts and flipflops. All chemicals carry risk if not used properly. I'm not the poster boy for proper handling but I don't splash in it.

I believe the roundup label has always stated that it could cause cancer. If that is true, the lawyers shouldn’t have a leg to stand on I would think.

I believe if everyone using these products would wash their hands regularly, use a face mask, even a cheap one, strip off all their clothes and run naked back to the house and jump in the shower they would have improved health. It might even make the little woman happier.......... Or not.    Leon

$80 million jury award to the plaintiff. If it is proven that Monsanto knew the stuff would cause cancer and still sold it without warning, Katey bar the door on future claims and Regulatory prosecution. Wouldn't be surprised to see some countries ban the stuff and god forbid, Monsanto quits making and selling it. Also, watch for suits against major competitors.

Well the other option is be outside in the sun with a hand swing weed wacker and a scythe for clearing ditches or fence row a hoe to cut out row weeds in fields and die of skin cancers. Who do you place a claim for on that, the tool makers?

As to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, no one has been able to attribute any single compound or show any specific cause for the disease to date, just occurs as if naturally occurring.

This from the Mayo Clinic says SOME weed killers "MAY" cause, primary causes are viral or bacterial infections and immunosuppressant meds.

Some factors that may increase the risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma include:
Medications that suppress your immune system. If you've had an organ transplant, you're more susceptible because immunosuppressive therapy has reduced your body's ability to fight new illnesses.
Infection with certain viruses and bacteria. Certain viral and bacterial infections appear to increase the risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Viruses linked to increased non-Hodgkin's lymphoma risk include HIV and Epstein-Barr infection. Bacteria linked to an increased risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma include the ulcer-causing Helicobacter pylori.
Chemicals. Certain chemicals, such as those used to kill insects and weeds, may increase your risk of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. More research is needed to understand the possible link between pesticides and the development of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Older age. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma can occur at any age, but the risk increases with age. It's most common in people 60 or over.

Would be a problem, but let's remember what happened with DDT and don't forget the government is paying tens of millions of dollars each year to veterans suffering from the effects of Agent Orange used in Viet Nam which has also been banned.

DDT and Paraquat based defoliants are different, much as some chemical solvents the stuff can absorb thru skin as well known poisons to humans. What comes to mind is Methyl Ethyl Keytone, (MEK) we used in the heavy equipment and some industrial base sites as a cleaning solution, could touch a bare finger to the stuff where instantly tasted it never touching your mouth with it. Destroyed the liver very toxic. We used the crap bare handed in the 70's. Imron Paint was thought low hazard except for the thinner fumes, turned out the stuff would layer into lungs and basically plate out, becomes epoxy or as fiberglass resin with a hardener, never leaves the human lung.

Way more deadly stuff out there, way more serious complicated effects and side effects and still in use. Welders are now suffering from Hexavalent Chromium or vaporized chromium poisoning where had welded stainless steel inhaling fumes.

Time to start using diesel fuel as a weed killer. That should make everyone happy. Then you can sue Exxon.

What a bunch - Denying the TRYAL LAWYERS of their bred and butter of taking everyone to court for something - from week killer , to now gun manufacturers .
It seems the gene pool is to deep and it needs to be cleansed - it seems if you eat TIDE PODS it's the mfg fault for making them look pretty
THEN turn around and you have law makers saying doing Marijuana as a recreational product is good for you as it slowly kills brain cells and turns you into a Democrat who is willing to tax everything as IT'S FOR THE KIDS and besides people high on it will not commit any crimes .
Ah yes then they can take stoned drivers to court and say the car was at fault for the accident !

DDT was banned because it built up in the food chain.  Why the buildup? Cause it was used to kill ANY and ALL bugs out there, and it had a LONG residual, spray once, kill bugs for WEEKS!

Agent orange (Silvex was the non military name) had a problem, contamination, with dioxin.  Dioxin was the toxic stuff, not 2, 4-d and 2,4,5t mixture...

My heart goes out to all the military folks that got fed a raw deal, they should be compensated, by the manufacturer.Ouch

Both the USDA and EPA say Roundup is safe and non carcinogenetic. With no proof WHO started this, claimed it may cause cancer.
