OK, really it's just 2 U-joints in a row but.. has anyone got part numbers for the u-Joints?
Mine have 1/2" slop,so I assume original and never greased.
I'd like to buy parts BEFORE I break off the cap screws when remooving the unit.
I'm assuming I have to get at it from the bottom, which should be fun......

I tried liberated manuals but can't find an FPD50, though I'd think others share the same u-joints ?
Any help is appreciated, this is a mid summer job, unless it breaks before then.

If you have any way of getting measurements of those U-joints before pulling them you are sure to get them through any good industrial parts supplier especially from a shop that handles power train components. I know the feeling of wanting the right parts in hand before your machine is down until... you finally do get them.

Hay Eric
yeah no way I can contort my achin body to get real numbers... ironically there's a 'twin' for sale 22 miles from me...I'm tempted to buy it,though he says it's gas(whiched be better) as mine's a 'special low compression ' diesel.

If the price is right I'd say go for it... if it's a good unit you can maybe sell the one you have now for the same money and not have to do the driveshaft work. If not it's great having a parts machine around. In all the years I had forklifts I never had a problem selling any of them no matter what brand or year. Simply put the price needs to be fair for buyer and seller. As far as I can remember I made money on every forklift I ever owned. However, I did have to put in some fair work into some. If you stop and think of how many establishments depend on forklifts on some form of regular basis it's no wonder the phone rings when you advertise one.
