Hello all, our FFA alumni association is starting a hay drive to round up donations to bring out to those in need. I'll be spearheading the project and making the delivery so I'm looking for areas of need that may or may not have been overlooked by the national media. To cut down on costs we may be looking for places to spend the night while travelling. If anyone knows who to contact or has any suggestions please feel free to contact me. Thanks,Eric

The Lancaster Event Center, in Lincoln, is accepting hay donations. Kind of a gathering place for that-then shipping to specific locations is arranged

Spoke with a contact in Verdigre, Nebraska and they're feeding 700 head a day from the staging area at the Verdigre livestock yards. They currently have enough inventory to only last into early next week. They anticipate needing feed until the middle May

saw this on the Channel 6 News site

Nebraska Cattlemen

The organization is collecting donations — monetary and agricultural support — to be distributed to Nebraska cattle producers affected by the recent floods and other natural disasters.

HOW TO GIVE

    1. Download a donation form.
    2. Write a check to "Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund," and mail it to:
      Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund
      4611 Cattle Drive
      Lincoln NE 68521

AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT
If you would like to donate hay, feed, fencing materials, or volunteer help or equipment; or if you are seeking assistance yourself, call the Nebraska Department of Agriculture at 1-800-831-0550.

Be prepared to share your name, contact information, type and number of livestock, location — including your county of resident — what assistance you are seeking and how urgent your need is.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
